Research?!?!?!?!

Hey everyone,

So my last site I am creating for this class is for Abortion...it wasn't something that I wanted to do a whole site on but I am glad that I have started it. I am learning a lot about abortions, like the history, what kinds of abortions, how they do abortions, and why people get them. Now at first I didn't have a view on what stand I wanted to take. I wasn't for or against abortion. And even after my research I still am not for or against it. I don't always believe in abortion but I believe that people can do whatever they feel like it, because it is their own body. However I did have to pick a point of view for my site so, I chose to take the against abortion role. Only because I do not agree with it, after my research I was still not sure if this is what I wanted to do my last website on. But after a long time of thought I chose to stick with it.

In doing this site the research had to be the hardest part. It was non-stop work, I couldn't always find useful information and it took awhile to completely get what I needed. I am still trying to find all the right words that will help people see where I am coming from. I just hope that my site helps people see what problems abortions can cause.

Anyways I just hope that I didn't completely put you to sleep. Well have a good night everyone, I will try to keep you posted on anything else that goes on in the life of Shelby Lynn.

Web Accessibility

Once again I say hello,

I hope everyone has been doing well since I last posted, I have been trying not to rip out all of my hair do to over stressed about these sites. My new site is on Web Accessibility, at first I really had no idea how I could even begin a site on accessibility. After little debate I decide to do a website that touched a little bit of everything when it came to web accessibility. This way I knew everyone could get a little bit of information no matter what they where looking for. Next was trying to find the information and a way to display it that would not be off putting.

I guess I should be getting back to work, this website isn't going to make it's self. Wish me luck.

Creating Stress

Looking at this title you probably won't think that this is about creating web sites, but I am sad to say that it is. The more coding I learn the more stressed out I become. I never thought that coding would make me want to rip every piece of hair out of my head, but it does. For two reasons; one, there is some many different codes that you need to know just to make a website look like someone other than a two year old did it. Two, if you misspell something or even put a dash were there should not be one then everything does not work.

The more I work on this site the more I just want to SCREAM!!!!!! However, I am happy that I am learning new stuff that I will be able to use in the long run. Some of the new things that I didn't know before are; div's, the different codes that can go inside different elements of codes, and of course CSS. Before this class I never in my life touched CSS, and when we first started learning CSS it just looked like a whole bunch of letters, but slowing I am starting to get the hang of it.

Anyways, wish me luck, cause I am truly going to need it.

First Week Over

Hello Everyone,

After a really long week, I have realized that web design is easy in very few ways. It makes me want to scream and smile all at the same time. At first I couldn't believe that I even wanted to do stuff related to design, I guess I never thought I had an eye for design.

Anyways on to other news, class has started and we have a travel website to do. At first I couldn't decide on what place to make a website on. There were so many places that sounded fun to make a whole website on, but I decided on a place that I didn't know to much about but where my brother had lived, Kodiak Alaska. I know you are most likely thinking "if your brothers lived there don't you know about it?" Well the answer to that is no, because he lived there when he was in the army and I never got to go visit him.

But on other news wish me luck on this whole website.

Truck Problems!

Today I was told that the rear end in my Toyota truck was about to give out. That was not the news that I wanted to hear before I had to drive all the way to school. My father told me that there was a chance that it could go out while I was driving and if it did not to freak out. He said just to slowing stop the truck and call my brothers.

Anyways what this has to do with design, is why can't people make a car or truck that does not break? Or one with easy ways to change things. Like the rear end, or the transfer case. Maybe people should design a truck that when the rear end breaks it keeps going.

This is just an idea...

Mid Terms, Easy?

Well everyone I took my first mid term today, and to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We went over everything first then took the test. The good thing was nothing was that confusing.

In the test there was stuff about Flash animations, terms, Blogging, and Pod casting. The good thing about that was one we already took a test on pod casting and blogging, so I knew everything about that. The bad thing was that Flash terms and things still get me confused. Only because almost everything is the same, or mean the same.

New Day, New Design.

Today I have decided, that for every new day I, in return, will make a new design. Now when I say design, I can mean anything from a new drawing to a new website.

Today I was thinking about making a new Flash animation, but thought about the troubles the first one has given me and decided against that idea. My next idea was to draw a new tattoo design, but then I thought that would make me want another tattoo and I don't think that would go over well with my parents.

So now I ask you, what do you think my new design should be?

A website?

A tattoo design?
